ABOUT THE ARTIST - Sara Sheets
I was born, raised and live in the Midwest. I have been an Art Educator for over
25 years, retiring in the spring of 2004. I have a studio in my home. I have
been creating art part-time over the past 30 years. During that time I have
painted interior and exterior murals and sold pastel paintings. The furniture
design business began in 2000, selling at juried art shows and privately.
The purpose for which I paint children's furniture is two-fold: I enjoy using
color! and to provide a keepsake for the child. I enjoy the challenge of creating
a design to fit the piece of furniture which makes the work unique, because no
two pieces are exactly alike. I wouldn't want it to be!
I take great pride in being particular with color choices, neatness, and orginiality.
I do not use patterns.
